hiya all :)
ok - does anyone know how to do the above - i'm running latest jfw and internet explorer
cheers

I've noticed Youtube has become a bit more rambunctious with the ads. Now this doesn't always work but sometimes it does. If you hit f5 to refresh the page, sometimes you get lucky and it'll go to the vid. If you hit f5 two or three times, then unfortunately you've got to ride out the ad.
thanks for the reply
Lately I've seen ads that are longer than the video I want to watch. The only way I've gotten past them is what Ryan already said, refreshing the page and hoping you don't get another ad. If someone has found another way, I'd love to hear it, too.
Agreed with you sister dawn!
According to google there are a number of extentions to block youtube ads for both firefox, safari and chrome. I haven't actually tested them out due to laziness on my part, but perhaps they're worth a look.
I've been watching youtube vids mainly on my iphone lately. You can skip adds with the google youtube app on ios. I know that wasn't the question, but hey, it might help someone out there.
Another nice Youtube app for iOS, maybe Android also I don't know, is YouPlayer. What I like about that is I can minimize the app, then restart the play with a two finger double tap on iOS (don't know what it is on Android), and then go ahead and lock the screen just listen to it while running around doing different things.
I don't know how Youtube can monetize this without us being made to look at ads, but there you have it.
The ads are there to make copyrighted material legal, since that channel gets monetized. Some of you people who are producers and music people should start doing that, seriously. I mean, you know your business and all, but if you did monetize your vids, you could earn a little bit as well as get the exposure.
Anyway a bit of a sidetrack I guess.
